Greenpill Network · GreenSci Fund Pool · Season 6

Local science,
local futures.

We support GreenPill chapters to explore DeSci ideas and existing projects aligned with Ethereum Localism — solving real community challenges in health, environment, and education through decentralized science.

10 funded projects
9 chapters, 4 continents
1 proposal per chapter

Public-good science,
serving communities
at a grassroots level.

GreenPill is turning degens into regens — funding what matters locally. This round invites every GreenPill chapter to bring forward one DeSci-related proposal, whether in progress or in planning.

Proposals should highlight how decentralized science and environmental protection can create measurable impact for the people who live there — not abstract research, but real solutions for real places.

Health

Community vaccination campaigns, open-source diagnostics, citizen-led health data, and decentralized clinical research.

Environment

Waste management, watershed monitoring, biodiversity restoration, regenerative agriculture, and climate adaptation at the neighborhood scale.

Education

Open-science curricula, knowledge commons, youth-led experiments, and local learning infrastructure that outlasts any grant cycle.

Four things
we're looking for.

01

Rooted in a real place

The proposal addresses a specific local challenge — a watershed, a clinic, a school, a neighborhood. Generalizable ideas are welcome, but the first beneficiary must be a concrete community.

02

Aligned with Ethereum Localism

Public-good funding, peer-to-peer coordination, community-first capital allocation. We fund work that exports regenerative digital infrastructure outward from a local base.

03

Decentralized science in practice

Open data, reproducible methods, citizen participation, transparent governance. DeSci is a verb here — a way of working, not a logo to wear.

04

Legible impact

A clear outcome a neighbor could describe in one sentence. Metrics that a grandparent could care about. Progress you can point to on a walk.

Ten chapters,
ten answers to "what if?"

After months of nomination and conviction voting across the whole Greenpill Network community on Gardens, these ten local DeSci initiatives were funded. Each one is rooted in a specific place, solving a specific problem.

Environment

Océan Bleu Mapping Campaign

Abidjan · GreenPill Côte d'Ivoire

Coastal cleanup paired with a citizen-driven environmental data pilot via La Ligne Verte — open infrastructure for mapping pollution on Abidjan's shoreline.

Environment

Bio-Regional DeSci Pilots

Rio de Janeiro · GreenPill Brasil

Regenerative monitoring protocols for soil health and agroecological resilience, led by Catito Clarkson (Permabrasilis) with on-chain verification.

Commons

MEGAWEAVING + Share Commons

GreenSofa

Transforms a 10,000-member resource-sharing community into a searchable commons-based database, routing idle or free resources between people and groups worldwide.

Education

DeSci Asia

Regional · Asia

The first cross-city regional DeSci network in Asia — experimenting with governance and funding models, and lowering the barrier for new Asian DeSci communities.

Environment

BioTerra Commons

Kenya · GreenPill Kenya

An open protocol turning waste biomass into biochar, embedding it in soils, and sharing value through decentralized governance. A commons of regenerative land.

Environment

Soil Technology, Muizenberg

Cape Town · GreenPill Cape Town

Turns household, restaurant and hostel kitchen waste in Muizenberg into healthy compost for community gardens and local regenerative projects.

Education

DeSci India & DeSciOS

Kolkata · DeSci India

Building DeSciOS and its AI agent while spreading DeSci literacy across Kolkata first, then outward to other Indian cities.

Environment

Decentralized Environmental Monitoring

Koh Phangan · Thailand

Community-owned sensors streaming real-time PM2.5, PM10, noise, temperature and humidity data — censorship-resistant Web3 storage, fully open-source.

Environment

Integrated Environmental Management

Eastern Uganda · GreenPill Uganda

Community-driven work restoring native biodiversity, securing water, and building waste management systems — with long-horizon local stewardship at the core.

Health

Water Cup

Nigeria · GreenPill Nigeria × Atlantisp2p

A flagship water-health initiative: a three-stage, peer-to-peer network building routes to safe, clean, resilient and accessible water across Nigerian communities.

Ten places,
one public good.

The ten GreenSci projects above were chosen by the whole Greenpill Network through conviction voting on Gardens. Now they need capital to build. Back the whole pool on Artizen — your support flows to every local team.
